How We Are Investing In Your Growth

Understanding Your Fees - Royalties, Technology Fees, National Marketing Fee

Three Fees. One Powerful System.

Success in franchising isn't just about hard work—it's about operating within a system designed to support you at every level. For our Mosquito Authority and Pest Authority franchisees three distinct fees work together to create the infrastructure, technology, and market presence designed to drive your business forward.

Here's exactly what you're investing in, and why it matters.

Royalty Fee:

Your Foundation

What it does: Gives you the right to operate under a proven brand and supported system.

When you pay your royalty fee, you're gaining access to everything that makes Pest Authority more than just a business idea:

  • Brand Power – Use of our name, trademarks, and reputation

  • Ongoing Support – Operational guidance when you need it

  • Training and Standards – Systems that work, taught by people who know them

  • Field and Corporate Resources – Real support from people invested in your success

  • R&D – Continuous improvement of services and methods

This fee funds the franchise system itself—the structure that allows you to operate with confidence under a unified brand. It's not a marketing fund. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

Technology Fee:

Your Operating System

What it does: Powers the software and infrastructure your business runs on every day.

You can't scale what you can't manage. The Technology Fee ensures you're equipped with modern, reliable tools:

  • Dispatch and Service SoftwareManage routes, jobs, and teams efficiently (ie FieldRoutes)

  • CRM and Customer Systems – Track relationships and service history

  • Required reporting – Stay compliant and informed

  • Data Storage and Access – Secure, accessible information when you need it

This isn't about advertising. It's about giving you the operational backbone to run a professional, accountable, and scalable business

.

national marketing Fee:

YOUR MARKET ADVANTAGE

What it does: Builds brand awareness and generates demand across all markets.

This is our newest fee—and it exists for one reason: to end the inconsistency of the past.

For years, marketing was fragmented. Local efforts. Vendor-driven campaigns. No unified message. No brand momentum.

The National Marketing Fee changes that. It's a dedicated investment in:

  • Brand Awareness – Making Mosquito Authority and Pest Authority a household name via media and partnerships

  • System-Wide Demand Generation – Leads flowing to franchisees nationwide

  • Creative, Content & Brand Assets – Building trusted recognizable brands consumers choose first

  • Marketing Technology & Website Optimization – Turning traffic into customers

  • Franchise Marketing Enablement & Support - Expert guidance when you need it—1:1 meetings and quarterly business reviews

This fee is restricted to marketing and brand development only.

This fee funds the franchise system itself—the structure that allows you to operate with confidence under a unified brand. It's not a marketing fund. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

Three Fees. One Mission.

Each fee has a specific role. Together, they create a system that supports you operationally, technologically, and competitively.

Video Review: FAQ

Q: Why are you implementing the National Marketing Fee now?

A: Because the market has changed, customer behavior has shifted, and the old approach was no longer delivering consistent results.

Three realities drove this decision:

1. Customer acquisition has changed. Digital marketing is more competitive and more expensive than it was even five years ago.

2. Marketing was inefficient. Separate vendors and inconsistent execution across markets created uneven performance.

3. Brand awareness impacts local performance. When the brand is stronger nationally, local paid media performs better and converts at a higher rate.

Q: Will the National Marketing Fee reduce my other marketing costs?

A: We are actively evaluating opportunities to reduce or eliminate overlapping fees and inefficiencies. But reducing expenses alone does not create more leads, generate demand, increase visibility, or improve conversion in your market. The goal is to grow your revenue.

Q: How much is the National Marketing Fee?

A: The Ad Fee is 2% per brand. Collected monthly based on the prior month’s revenue

Q: Why is the Technology Fee separate instead of included in the Royalty?

A: Technology costs are directly tied to the platforms and systems required to operate the business — and those costs scale with revenue and usage. Keeping the Technology Fee separate ensures transparency. You can clearly see what funds system support versus what funds operational infrastructure.

Q: Where can I ask questions or give feedback?

A: Through upcoming webinars, Compass updates, and direct communication with the support team.
